I am here to support your breastfeeding – from the first moments after birth to everyday challenges.
Ola Diaczuk-Górska
Hi!
My name is Aleksandra Diaczuk-Górska – but most people simply call me Ola.
I am a midwife, a certified lactation consultant, a lactation educator, as well as a mother of two.
On a daily basis, I work in the maternity ward of the Provincial Polyclinical Hospital in Elbląg, Poland. One of the most important aspects of my work is to support women during the first days of maternity – this includes breastfeeding which may be full of challenges, especially at the beginning.

Who are my consultations for?
For every mom who:
wants to breastfeed but is experiencing difficulties,
is in need for a calm conversation and a safe space,
wants to properly start (or continue) breastfeeding,
values closeness, relationships, and support based on understanding,
seeks specific, substantive but also empathic help,
seeks lactation education before labor, based on the current knowledge and practices.
My approach
Kindness
and respect
- they help me create atmosphere in which you feel comfortable and safe, without fear of being judged
Individual
approach
- I listen to your story and needs in order to find the best solutions for you and your baby,
Warmth
and openness
- my patients value the feeling of support and confidence that together we will find a way in every, even the most difficult situation.
Why is lactation support so important?
I know that many women begin their breastfeeding journey with great enthusiasm and ambition.
However, the first days of the postnatal period often involve:
-
fatigue, pain, confusion and stress related to the new situation,
-
an overload of conflicting, sometimes contradicting advice from different sources.
In this situation, from my experience, support received at the right moment is crucial. Thanks to professional help, many women is able to continue breastfeeding just as they intended.
This has been proven both in statistics as well as the stories of my patients.
How can I help you?
I can show you how to latch on and choose the correct position for breastfeeding, considering your predispositions.
I can tell you how to diagnose and solve problems related to lactation and assess the effectiveness of sucking.
I can tell you how to choose lactation accessories, should they become necessary due to any reasons.
I can help you identify and eliminate the cause of pain during breastfeeding.
I can help you recognize and understand your baby’s cues and the needs behind them.
I can tell you how to create a bond with your baby and increase the internal sense of competence and agency in your new role.
What are breastfeeding preparation consultations?
I offer meetings during which:
-
You will learn about the physiology of lactation– you will become aware of the processes in your body and learn how milk is produced
-
You will receive practical hints for the first days after the birth– especially if you are expecting a caesarean section or a premature birth
-
You will look at and discuss lactation accessories– milk collectors, breast pumps, nipple correctors, pads, and other accessories, learning about their uses, benefits, and limitations
-
You will receive solid recommendations– as to which accessories are truly necessary and which may be just an unnecessary expense (everything based on my clinical experience and work with patients)
-
You will learn about helpful solutions in unexpected situations– in case of delayed onset of lactation after a caesarean section or when the newborn child must stay in the neonatal intensive care unit
Such knowledge provides a sense of safety and peace of mind – once your baby is born, it will be easier for you to implement the key guidance, even if you are exhausted or overwhelmed by the new situation.
Accessories
Do I rent a breast pump?
Yes – as part of the lactation support I provide to my patients.
I provide the Medela Symphony breast pump – a professional, clinical, two-phase device used exclusively as part of lactation support in specific situations (e.g. after a more difficult birth, delayed onset of lactation, or temporary separation from the baby).
